Reminder: Monroe Cemetery Flower Removal

cemetery flowerThe public is reminded that all flowers and other items on the ground must be removed from the cemetery by July 15, 2017.  Flowers in vases or on the stones are always welcome and are not removed by the City.  No permanent plantings are permitted.  If you plant annual flowers, they may be mowed off or you can keep the grass trimmed at least 6” away from the stone.  Please do not leave glass vases or jars at the grave sites.    Questions should be referred to City Hall at 259-2319.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Spring Clean Up Day 2017 – May 10th

spring_cleanup_17Spring Clean up day in Monroe for 2017 is set for Wednesday, May 10th. Items should be on the curb by 6:00am.  Items two people can lift may be set out.  Clean out the house, basement, and garage!  All items will be picked up on May 10th.   NO—TIRES, WINDOWS WITH GLASS OR CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS. NO APPLIANCES, BATTERIES, OIL OR PAINT FOR MORE INFORMATION , CALL 259-2319
